In Lieu Of Tipping We Offer You A Better Option For Our Fellow Neighbors. You can donate any amount to our ‘pool’ of funds used to donate gift boxes. At Chicago Johnny’s Co we are constantly contacted with requests for donations for parents, friends, families, fundraising activities, and the like. It is often with sad reluctance that we have to deny most of these requests.
On the other side of that coin, we are often asked if we can be ‘tipped’ for our services for going above and beyond for our clientele. We always took extra tip money and gave it directly to our staff.
So here we offer a compromise to those of you that want to wish us well, to those of you that want to anonymously help a neighbor, and for both you and us to celebrate our gratitude. We anticipate receiving countless contacts for donations for fundraisers, children asking to help get a gift for their single parent, to supply our local food pantries, et cetera. This is a compromise where anyone can donate directly, an anonymous act of kindness. Both your name, and the recipients names will remain anonymous, and no credit will be given. This is just a blind act of kindness, one that can make a world of difference, and nobody will ever know it was you that donated, and nobody will ever know that it was you that reached out for a helping hand. This is our way of helping out the community, giving to our neighbors, and offering a chance to give to someone you will likely never meet. Think of this as the ‘Pay It Forward’ trend at the drive thru.

We truly, truly, appreciate any consideration to this project. We are often bombarded (especially during holidays, recessions, economic disasters…) with requests for donations to either a single parent from their children, to a community fundraising event, to help out with healthcare costs after an emergency, and so many other ways that I don’t want to sound diminutive listing them.
It’s simple, if you donate, your money goes into a ‘pool’ that is used to then donate our time and goods and services to some of those requests, and we do it without exposing the donors. You donate anonymously, and we give without shame. This allows us to be part of our community, your community, all of our shared community without disrupting our cashflow, or putting us in a precarious situation. This is truly a selfless act on your end, and we, and our recipients, can not thank you enough.
